Our Story

I'm Nadia — the founder of BodyMindConnect.

This brand was born from a deep love of yoga, nature, and the quiet work of connecting body, mind, and spirit. Over the years, yoga has grounded me through change, brought me back to stillness, and reminded me to move with presence. I wanted to create something that carried that same feeling — something natural, considered, and kind to the earth.

Where It Began

BodyMindConnect started with a simple question: why are most yoga mats made from materials that harm the very earth we're trying to feel connected to?

The answer became our foundation. Every mat we make is crafted from 100% natural materials — tree rubber, jute, and coconut fibre husk — sourced from Sri Lanka, where natural rubber cultivation has deep roots. Our mats are coloured using natural plant pigments and non-toxic, water-based dyes, free from harmful chemicals. And because they're made entirely from nature, they're fully biodegradable — designed to return to the earth at the end of their life.

Because our materials are natural, no two mats are exactly the same. Slight variations in texture, tone, and pattern are part of what makes each one unique — a mark of something genuinely made, not mass-produced. What you receive is entirely your own.

All of our imagery is captured outdoors in Byron Bay, surrounded by the raw beauty of the Australian landscape — a reflection of where this brand was born and the calm, grounded energy behind everything we do.
